Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) - patient information to assist informed consent
This patient education pamphlet provides treatment information on polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS). The topics discussed include: the symptoms, the diagnosis and long-term effects of PCOS, and the importance of lifestyle changes in managing the condition. Symptoms such as irregular periods, acne and hirsutism are discussed. The long-term effects of PCOS are also mentioned, including hypertension, infertility, type 2 diabetes and depression.
