Davidson's Principles and Practice of Medicine

It's 46 years since the publication of the first edition of Sir Stanley Davidson's textbook Principles and Practice of Medicine . In seventeen editions the book has gone through many changes to establish an international reputation for innovation and clarity. This 18th edition is no exception. A new editorial team - including 21 new chapter authors - has pulled together the most up-to-date information possible.

There are many revisions to content including a major new chapter on the molecular and cellular basis of disease and an enhanced new chapter on Diabetes Mellitus and Nutritional and Metabolic Disorders. All major systems chapters have an expanded section concentrating on the major manifestations of disease relevant to that chapter. These sections consider the clinical presentations of the patient who may have certain relevant symptoms to the pathology of the system under discussion.

The layout is more attractive and beneficial than ever. The colour presentation introduced in the last edition has been enhanced creating a more attractive appearance and clearer illustrations that explain the concepts in the text even better.
