Atlas of Diseases of the Oral Mucosa

The fifth edition of this atlas includes a total of 292 diseases and 328 color plates. The main emphasis is placed on the clinical diagnostic aspects of the diseases, but some epidemiologic features are also included.* The fifth edition includes 25 new oral mucosal diseases and 50 new illustrations and reflects the impact of the AIDS pandemic with 11 different oral manifestations of HIV infection illustrated and discussed.* Among other new disease entities are: staphylococcal, several malignant and benign tumors, newly recognized dermatologic disorders, nodular fascitis, cocaine burn and self-inflicted injuries. In addition, the atlas still contains illustrations and descriptions of all the common diseases of the oral mucosa.* All 328 accompanied by an update of the most recent information on the disease with special emphasis on their oral manifestations.* The diseases are arranged according to the WHO classification, thus facilitating the use of the atlas.
